arrghhh... hate the rainy weather.... it's again the year-end 'misery'.... cold feet, dampness.... and wonder if the electricity would trip again this year.... yes, there seems a leakage somewhere on the outter wall that lets water seep in and short-circuit my wires... :(
So I am stuck at home for now....
and, yes, the new song was beautiful. Wonder when they will cut a new album and include this song. I tried recording the song during our worship.... but the effect was kinda muffled, even with whatever editing tool I can lay my hands on... but guess it's the best I can do for now.... maybe will try it again.... in meantime, here's the recording.... please bear with the noise... =)

You are the God who loves
Love this new song written by Karen..... especially the part on how He, who fashioned nature's wonders and designed all heaven's glory, could stoop low to rescue me..... oh such love, endless love, such grace, amazing grace.... don't I love Him?
You Are The God Who Loves
Saviour of the undeserving
You have beckoned me with love
You designed all heaven's glory
Yet You came, restored my worth
Majesty stripped of all honour
Man of sorrows on that tree
The God who fashioned nature's wonders
Yet You stooped to rescue me
This is love, spoken through Your brokenness
This is grace - crowning me with righteousness
You are the God who loves
You are the God who gives
Salvation, favour,
victory as I stand and see
You are the God I love
You are the God I give
All honour, glory,
adoration for eternity
You Are The God Who Loves
Saviour of the undeserving
You have beckoned me with love
You designed all heaven's glory
Yet You came, restored my worth
Majesty stripped of all honour
Man of sorrows on that tree
The God who fashioned nature's wonders
Yet You stooped to rescue me
This is love, spoken through Your brokenness
This is grace - crowning me with righteousness
You are the God who loves
You are the God who gives
Salvation, favour,
victory as I stand and see
You are the God I love
You are the God I give
All honour, glory,
adoration for eternity

love, some say....
Some say love, it is a river,
that drowns the tender reed;
Some say love, it is a razor,
that leaves your soul to bleed;
Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need;
I say love, it is a flower,
and you, its only seed......
It's the heart, afraid of breaking,
that never learns to dance;
Its the dream, afraid of waking,
that never takes the chance;
Its the one, who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give;
And the soul, afraid of dying,
that never learns to live......
When the night has been too lonely,
and the road has been too long;
And you think that love is only for,
the lucky and the strong;
Just remember, in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snow...
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love,
in the spring, becomes the rose!
that drowns the tender reed;
Some say love, it is a razor,
that leaves your soul to bleed;
Some say love, it is a hunger,
an endless aching need;
I say love, it is a flower,
and you, its only seed......
It's the heart, afraid of breaking,
that never learns to dance;
Its the dream, afraid of waking,
that never takes the chance;
Its the one, who won't be taken,
who cannot seem to give;
And the soul, afraid of dying,
that never learns to live......
When the night has been too lonely,
and the road has been too long;
And you think that love is only for,
the lucky and the strong;
Just remember, in the winter,
far beneath the bitter snow...
Lies the seed, that with the sun's love,
in the spring, becomes the rose!

heaviness...
It was a long long time since I last felt tears welling up in my eyes, but this morning, as I read the blog of one of my dear friend and ex-collegue, I couldn't help but felt so heavy for her.... didn't know that she went through those painful times of lost.... my heart goes out to her.

Time had gone by all too quickly.... when she left our company, it was for her further studies. She's such a petite little girl, sweet and always full of laughter and joy. Reading her thoughts and what she went through gave an insight into her life. Saddened and heavy, I can only pray on her the peace of God, and the comfort of our Comforter...... but perhaps 10 yrs too late.
I guess no words can describe the heaviness...... but my LORD understands.
Shalom, shalom...........

the One Life Experience
The company annual event held at the Bottle Tree Park had ended on time. It's just past 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and I have time to spare today, so I thought I should drop by the World Vision's exhibition booth for the 'One Life Experience' at the SMU.
The One Life Experience (OLE) is a hands-on, interactive exhibit which focuses on the devastating effects of AIDS on young people in Africa, Cambodia and Singapore. The appeal for volunteers to help man the booth was received some time ago, in Nov/Dec last year but I had not signed up for this project. Partly because of the time constraint and partly because, well, I still am not clear on my personal conviction and views on the issue about HIV and AIDS.
Perhaps it's the lack of information and knowledge in this area that I must say that, I am guilty of the stigma and biased views on HIV and AIDS sufferers. I had always believed that the main channels of contracting the disease is through casual sex and contaminated needles used in.... drug abuse? No, it's not a case of being self-righteous, but rather I don't want to have a misplaced sympathy just because there is an huge publicity and event drive. Really, I need the personal conviction to the cause before I could venture to help.
I would say the exhibition was an eye opener. The delivery approach was a breakthrough. There were 3 audio guided track which we can take, - travelling to the African savanna; or be one whose childhood belongs to the poverised Cambodian village, or stay close to home in Singapore. Either way, learn about AIDS through the eyes of its victims and see the human face of HIV.
The experience brought more insight into the life of the HIV and AIDS victim. The suffering in these 3rd world countries are hard to comprehend for us in this blessed land. My heart goes out to them and I pray that their life would be eased and sufferings removed.
It is said, to love the sinner and hate the sin. Honestly, how many of us can do that? So still, for me, the lingering question....... who are the victims, and who are the culprits?

You Are So Faithful
Lenny LeBlanc
Like the sun that rises everyday,
You are so faithful. Lord, You are faithful.
Like the rain that You send,
And every breath that I breathe,
You are so faithful, Lord
I see the cross and the price You had to pay,
I see the blood that washed my sins away.
Chorus:
In the midst of the storm
through the wind and the waves,
You'll still be faithful, You'll still be faithful,
When the stars refuse to shine and time is no more,
You'll still be faithful,
You'll still be faithful, Lord.
Like the rose that comes alive every spring,
You are so faithful. Lord, You are faithful.
Like the life that You give,
to every beat of my heart,
You are so faithful, Lord.
I see the cross and the price You had to pay,
I see the blood that washed my sins away.
Chorus:
In the midst of the storm
through the wind and the waves,
You'll still be faithful, You'll still be faithful,
When the stars refuse to shine and time is no more,
You'll still be faithful,
You'll still be faithful, Lord.
